Graduation Cake Designs

It's that time of year!  Don't wait to order your Graduation Cake...the calendar is filling up FAST!

In an effort to speed up the process, I've designed some cakes "to go", so to speak.  I still prefer to have orders A WEEK IN ADVANCE if possible.   But here are some designs to get you started:

Avengers Superheroes Cake





This round cake was covered in fondant and the background airbrushed with blue, black and silver.  Fondant buildings were added around the sides of the cake.  For the top of the cake, 3 Avengers (Captain America, the Hulk, and Iron Man) were hand molded in fondant.  The matching cupcakes had fondant toppers depicting Captain America's shield, the Hulk's fist, Iron Man's mask, and Thor's hammer.  All cake was  "confetti cake" (white cake with multicolor sprinkles).

NY Yankees Baseball Cap Cake





This cake was for an end of the season party for the RMVLL T-Ball Yankees.  A simple square cake was covered in buttercream icing and topped with a fondant cake shaped like a Yankees baseball cap.  All the Yankees logos were hand cut and hand drawn with edible ink markers.  Fondant stars in navy and red were added around the sides.

Cowboy Hat Western Birthday Cake





This 3-tiered fondant cake featured cookies and cream cake with chocolate custard filling.  The bottom layer was covered in red fondant and the white bandana print piped on by hand.  The middle layer was covered in white fondant with black fondant cow print spots added.  The top layer was carved to look like a cowboy hat and covered in tan fondant.  Fondant "ropes" were added the the bottom of each layer.

Little League Baseball Cookies



These baseball themed sugar cookies are the perfect end to a great baseball season!  These cookies were for my son's T-ball team (the Yankees) and feature navy blue frosting glaze, fondant baseballs, and the team's names and jersey numbers on each cookie.  Cookies can be made in any color scheme and for any sport.   They can also be individually wrapped and ready to give out at your team party.  Cookies start at $3 each.

XBox Video Game Birthday Cupcakes, Cookies





These cupcakes and cookies were for a video game birthday party where the "Game Truck" was coming to the house.  The cupcakes were topped with custom fondant toppers of XBox controllers, and the cookies were decorated to resemble "power" buttons on game consoles.

Glitter Pops!


Don't we all need a little sparkle in our lives?  Our "Glitter Pops" are the answer.  Our cake pops and truffle pops first are dipped in chocolate, then are bedazzled with a coating of edible glitter.  They are available in a variety of colors and are $3 each.  It's a bling thing.

Cinco de Mayo Birthday Cupcakes




These cupcakes were for a darling 1st birthday party on Cinco de Mayo.  Vanilla and Salted Caramel cupcakes were topped with fondant "paper" flowers, "paper" flags, and little sombreros to tie into the invitations.  The matching smash cake was topped with a multi-striped fondant sombrero and a chocolate number "1".

Surfboard Birthday Cake





This surfboard shaped cake was modeled after a Wave Storm Funboard.  Cake was covered in fondant with fondant stripes.  Leash was also fondant.  Forgot to snap a picture of the matching cupcakes: waves of frosting with fondant shark fins!

Sushi Platter Cake





Sushi platter is entirely edible, but includes nothing from the sea!  The square base cake was covered in white fondant and topped with a bamboo mat (also made of fondant).  The sushi pieces were mini cakes wrapped in fruit tape and covered in white "jimmie" sprinkles, topped with gum drops, fruit snacks, red sugar pearls and orange slice candies.  The noodle bowl was molded chocolate, filled with cake and buttercream icing piped in the shape of noodles.  The wasabi was also buttercream icing.

Louis Vuitton "Batignolles" Handbag Cake





Louis Vuitton purse ("Batignolles horizontal"style) is made of chocolate chocolate chip cake and covered with textured chocolate fondant.  All beige leather details were also added with fondant.  Metal details and signature logo print was all hand painted with gold luster dust.

LHHS Girls' Basketball Cake





This 3 tier cake was for the end of the season banquet for the LHHS Ladyhawks Girls' Basketball team.  The team had an amazing season winning the league title and the CIF title.  I was happy to be able to help them celebrate.  The basketball and net were all chocolate chocolate chip cake with vanilla buttercream.  The bottom square tier was a vanilla cake with strawberry & cream filling.  The cakes were covered in fondant with fondant letter details and hand drawn logos.  The net was piped with buttercream icing, as was all of the wording.  And the cake represented their school and team colors of brown and gold.

Go Diego Go Birthday Cake





One tier cake with a jungle theme was covered in blue buttercream icing with fondant details.  Diego was hand drawn on fondant.  Vines, tree trunks and leaf border were all piped with buttercream.

Pink and Purple Princess Castle Cake







2 Tier princess castle cake features 6 hand-drawn princesses peeking from the windows.  The cakes were covered in pink fondant and fronted with brick castle walls.  Door and shutters were added in purple fondant, as well as purple cupcake towers on the top tier.  Sugar ice cream cones were brushed with purple luster dust and set atop the towers.  Vines and flowers were piped around the castle in buttercream icing.
