JoJo's Circus Cupcakes - JoJo

If you have a toddler who likes Playhouse Disney, then you might have seen "JoJo's Circus". It happens to be my daughter's favorite show (BOO to Disney for recently taking it off the air!) JoJo the Clown made a pretty festive cupcake for her circus-themed birthday party. I topped off the homemade buttercream frosting with candy and melted chocolate to create her little clown face. The cupcake was fresh strawberry, so it was a pretty pink cake (popular for birthday girls turning 3). The cupcakes were a big hit with the kids, and they looked adorable paired with the Goliath the Lion and Popcorn cupcakes on the big dessert tower. Character cupcakes start at $3.00 each

JoJo's Circus Cupcakes - Goliath

So, unless you have a 2-year old who's an early riser, you may not be familiar with the show "JoJo's Circus". But since I do, that's what ended up being our 3rd Birthday party theme. Goliath, the main character's pet lion, is an adorable little guy, and made an adorable little cupcake. I piped chocolate frosting on top of a triple chocolate cupcake (by far, the most popular of the 5 flavors we offered at the party!) Then I topped each cupcake with a face that I designed and created out of chocolate and peanut butter candy melts. My daughter was so excited, and after all, isn't that what it's all about?

Popcorn Cupcakes

No, they didn't taste like popcorn. But they sure looked like it. This was for the big circus-themed birthday party I did for my kids. The "popcorn" was actually miniature marshmallows. And the cupcake was actually my personal favorite, coconut cream. Yum! I just wish we had more leftover...

"Lily" Baby Shower Cake

This was a cake for a small baby shower celebrating "Baby Lily". The cake was 3 layers of white cake with a raspberry filling. The cake is covered in white fondant with all the hand-made detail work also in fondant. I had some free reign as to the design; I thought this was fun and also a little sophisticated. A monogram on the front of the cake would also be sweet. Homemade fondant cakes start at $3.75 per person served.
