This beautiful display was for a dear friend of mine on her 40th birthday. I created a mini dessert buffet featuring the following items: Chocolate peanut butter truffle pops, mini raspberry tartlets, Pecan praline parfaits with whiskey sauce, mini cupcakes in 3 flavors (coconut macadamia, mud pie, and maple bacon) and a small cutting cake covered in ombre-style buttercream ruffles. We presented all the desserts on my new plum purple and spring green dessert stands, which looked perfect with the party color scheme. And it was a bonus for me to get to attend the party and see everyone enjoying the desserts!

Baby Bootie Gender Reveal Cake
This single tier cake was the edible answer to the big question..."Boy or Girl?" Baby reveal parties are becoming more popular and the "surprise cake" is a great way to let everyone know the sex of the baby. This cake was covered in white fondant, then decorated half in pink, half in blue. Shoes were molded out of gum paste, then I added matching pink roses and hearts on the girl side and blue diamonds on the boy side. I added the final details by piping white buttercream ruffles on the girl side and argyle stripes on the boy side.
The surprise here was on the inside. When the family cut into the cake, they discovered vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream in a PINK checkerboard pattern! It's a girl! Congrats to J & B and family!! xoxo

Noah's Ark Baby Shower Cake & Cupcakes
This rainbow-studded baby boy shower featured a small sculpted cake and matching cupcake tower. The cake was covered in textured fondant with five pairs of hand-molded animals in bright colors. The cupcakes were topped in baby blue icing and matching animal toppers. The cake and cupcakes were nicely displayed on our custom white cupcake tower. We also brought the plate of chocolate truffle "glitter pops" in six bright rainbow shades of edible glitter to complete the beautiful dessert table.
